Fiona is cuddling with her pops, which gives me a moment to post a few items. (Yay!)
I have to confess that I'm totally grooving on "Mr. Brightside" by the Killers. Love the song; love the video. Sooo early 80s New-Romantics-ish, if kinda trashy, too). ::happiness:: Bought the song from iTunes; have not listened to/purchsed others by the band yet. I have a sneaking feeling, however, that in a few months I will be tempted to delete this entry and any record of my liking of this song. But for now, I'll just enjoy, and later I'll blame it on sleep deprivation.
I'm also thoroughly enjoying BSG. Love Kara (like many others, I gather). But I do have a question: I've missed one (or maybe two?) episodes, and while I've been able to fill in just about everything I've missed, the one thing I don't know is when the mention of Earth first came up. Was there ever a moment when someone (who?) said, "Let's try to find this place called Earth?" What was the context? Does everyone in the fleet know that's their goal? Who believes it exists? Who doesn't? Etc, etc...
And, I suppose I should also go on record as a big House fan. My favorite game is watching for "Bertie faces" every week. They're rare, but I get a kick every time I imagine I catch one.
In Fiona news, she had her one-month appointment yesterday. She's growing well (gained 2 lbs over her birth weight, grown over 2 inches). She had her first shot (the shots she got as a newborn don't count -- I didn't have to witness them) Screaming was to be expected, but the tears! Her eyes have teared up once or twice when she's been frustrated, but this was the first time tears ran down her cheeks. Poor wee mite!
(After the appt, she had her first trip to Burdick's. Didn't do much for her, but mom sure enjoyed her medicinal hot chocolate.)
